Shared libraries and co-authors with a library
A library stays yours: its articles, PDFs and space count towards your plan. Sharing only says who else can come in and with which role.
Share a library
Section titled “Share a library”- Open Libraries (Bibliotecas), then the library, and click Share (Compartir).
- Type the email, choose View (Ver) or Edit (Editar) and click Invite (Invitar).
- Tick the box declaring you have the right to make those PDFs available to the people you invite. It is your responsibility, as uploading them is.
- With access (Con acceso) lists who is in; change a role or remove someone there.
Whoever is invited finds it under Libraries → Shared with you (Compartidas contigo).
Roles in a library
Section titled “Roles in a library”- View (Ver): searches, reads the PDFs and sees everyone’s highlights and notes. Changes nothing.
- Edit (Editar): also adds PDFs, highlights, annotates, corrects titles and authors and organizes folders. Never deletes articles or the library, renames it, or changes who it is shared with: that stays with the owner.
Each highlight or note carries the name of the person who made it. You can only change your own.
A co-author with the project’s library
Section titled “A co-author with the project’s library”When you invite someone to a project with the Edit role, a box offers to give them also edit access to the library the project uses (ticked by default). With it, the co-author works exactly like you in that project: searches, anchors and cites, uploads PDFs and highlights. Without it, they can write and compile but not search or cite.
Removing the project access, or lowering the role to Review or View, also removes the library access that came with that invitation. A library shared on its own is kept.
The AI of a co-author
Section titled “The AI of a co-author”In a project shared with the Edit role, Ask the AI (Pedir a la IA) is there too, and works like
for you: the co-author’s own AI, through their own connector, reads and writes the document, comments,
anchors, and (with library access) searches and cites in the project’s library. The request it opens
carries the project’s address, <owner email>/<project>, which the AI passes as project (or
project_name) in each tool; list_projects shows it. It never reaches the owner’s other projects or
libraries, and what it writes appears in the document for both of you.
What a person with access never gets
Section titled “What a person with access never gets”- Your other libraries, other projects, account, plan or connectors.
- A bulk download of PDFs, a public link, or the ability to share it onward.
- Your AI connector: theirs is their own, and only reaches this project and its library.
See Share with a reviewer or co-author (roles) for roles in a project and Libraries and PDFs for organizing a library.
